Ringing in the New Year was a lot more interesting then last year, I have to admit, and we didn't even go out! My plan was to go out after work(5:30) dress up and then hit the town with the peeps, but it didn't didn't even start off as expected. For one, the bus didn't stop for me it was packed! I thought it was just one of those days in China, but I saw a pattern, all the buses were crammed full, and in the end I took a motorbike back home.
Then found that Phil was not in the mood to go out :(, that was a bit of a bummer, and I nearly let it ruin my New Years Eve, thankfully Louisa talked some sense into me and it was all good.
We played Uno, music, sang songs, made songs from Peter and Jane books, smoked shisha and cracked jokes until 11:00
Then we went to Michelle's house(Phil's sister) and danced (nearly put up a 'pole' for dancing, but a few someones pointed it out that it would be hazardous for anyone nearby), drank wine.
It was much better then celebrating it with random people in a bar.
Phil's dad being cool with his fedora and cigar.
We nearly missed the countdown (again) but noticed it in time to count down from 20.
There was much rejoicing.
We played limbo, follow the leader's dance moves,
ran outside with no jackets,
and played drinking games till a few of us passed out!
'
But it was great! Went to sleep around 3 and got up at 12 for a full day of lounging around.
I am going to start the 365 contest, again! Haha, last time I was good for a month and a half, we'll see how long this one goes for. I have a good feeling about it though. It starting on the first of January has to speak for something!
